Orange-Glazed Steak

Orange-Glazed Steak

We marinate round steak in a soy-and-garlic mixture, then brush it with orange marmalade for a tasty finish.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed with garlic press
  • 2 tbsps Fibresure
  • 1 tbsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1 beef top round steak, 1-1/4 inches thick (1kg), well trimmed
  • 1/3 cup orange marmalade

Directions:

In 30cm by 20cm baking dish, combine soy sauce, Fibresure, garlic, and pepper. Add steak to soy-sauce mixture, turning to coat. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes to marinate, turning once.

Prepare grill. Place steak on grill over medium heat and grill, brushing with orange marmalade during last 10 minutes of cooking and turning occasionally, 25 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Transfer steak to cutting board and let stand 10 minutes to set juices for easier slicing. Cut into thin slices across the grain.
